This application “Museum on the Go” (“app”) belongs to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki (A.M.Th.) and its use is subject to the following terms:
- Apart from the exceptions stated explicitly (copyrights of third parties, collaborators or other institutions), the “app” contains content held in copyright by the Archeological Museum of Thessaloniki. This content includes texts, images, plans, graphics, videos, software applications and provided services, referred to indicatively.
- The Museum encourages the private use of the “app” content for personal information purposes, as well as the use for educational or research purposes. The use in the context of a company’s or service’s or organisation’s activity, is not considered private. The reproduction or saving of individual pages or data is allowed only for educational or research purposes, under the necessary condition that there is reference to the “app” as source and mention of the names of the creators (provided that they appear on the “app”), without any harm to the relevant copyrights. However, the users shall be aware that certain files or data may be subject to the copyright of a third party (collaborating bodies, organisations, companies), and they cannot be used without prior permission by these parties (which may be referred to the app).
- Saving, reproduction, republishing, transmission or distribution of any part of the “app” content for a commercial purpose or any other use not falling into paragraph 2, are strictly forbidden.
- This “app contains” references to A.M.TH. website (https://www.amth.gr/) (links), that are for the service of users, providing additional information. The Museum guarantees the privacy policy regarding the content, personal data protection policy, integrity and quality of services and safety of A.M.TH. website, as for other external links connected to the website, or for the servers through which other websites are made available, A.M.TH. bears no responsibility.
- The personal data that the users submit in order to register to the application are included in the «Operator’s» files, are used exclusively for its better service and information and are not reproduced or given in any way to third parties.
- The app is asking from the user for his consent on using his location, in order to inform him about the position of the exhibits on the map. The user has to consent and open his location settings to enable location permissions “always”, if he wishes to make use of all the functionalities that the app has to offer.
- The Museum reserves the right to modify at any moment and without prior notification the Terms of Use of the “app” and to publish them on this screen. For this purpose, we kindly request you to visit this screen frequently.
- The user can delete any time his personal data (Name, Email address, Phone number, Race and ethnicity, Other info) that has been saved during his registration in the application. This can be achieved at any time, from the Profile Section, by selecting Edit Profile >Delete Profile. His personal data will permanently remove from the application.
Privacy Policy
The A.M.Th. is responsible for the protection of your privacy. The information given will be used only as mentioned below. The following information may be asked of you: Name, Country of Origin, Age group and contact information (mobile number and internet email address).
This information may be used to inform you about upcoming exhibitions and events. They remain confidential and will not be given to any third party.
The present “app” includes links to the website www.amth.gr. However, if you use other links, when entering A.M.TH. website, meaning you have left www.amth.gr, then the Museum bears no responsibility and has no control over other sites. For this reason, we are not responsible for the privacy policy of those sites.
